... a couple of days back, someone help me, i cant get the ringing of elton john's tiny dancer out of my head dammit! wow what a beautiful movie. didnt expect much from the movie because by the time i watched it, quite a few of my friends praised the movie to annoying heights, i thought i would never enjoy the movie because my expectations would be very high and boy was i delighted. tis' been a real long time since i watched a movie which makes you feel good and warm in the heart in the end. maybe was sappy here and there but overall an excellent movie. if you havent watched it, go and watch it now.

IMO, it's one of the most overrated movies I've ever seen. I almost couldn't bear to watch the entire movie, to be honest.

If you like it, though, good for you. 😉

After mulhulland drive of course. Almost famous was pretty good but nothing great IMO.

One of my all time favorites!
I watch the move just to hear the music sometimes.
The whole cast did a great job in their performances.

I bought the movie on DVD then I stupidly and foolishly and idiotly bought the Criterion edition on DVD.

Now I'm going to sell both 🙁

I liked it. Plus, Kate Hudson got nude in it, which was a plus in my book.

i was kinda freaked out at that scene....with her small breasts..that scene felt like a underage porno scene...full marks to her excellent acting. prettier and better actor than her mom.

The first DVD I bought was the regular widescreen version and the second was the criterion/collector's edition 🙁

Why did I buy 300 DVDs which I never watch?

Why oh why

u can give them to me 🙂 i love movies. Except this one i didnt particularly like lol

That was one of my favorite movies of the past 10 years. How Crowe made that crappy Vanilla Sky after such a great movie is beyond me.

Rossman, how much you want for that criterion version?

Stark - Lemme think about it, I don't think it's even opened. It's probably still shrink wrapped, how much is it selling for it ebay, half, amazon and deepdiscountdvd?

I bought the "bootleg director's cut" DVD last winter but I still haven't watched it or even listened to that short included CD. I'll have to try the CD now that I remembered it.

I loved Almost Famous... lots of great classic tunes... I'd like to be a "band-aid" for Britney or Christina or Avril 😀
Oh, and two words why Vanilla Sky sucked... Tom Cruise

As I remeber this movie was hardly rated at all!
It made its name from alot of word of mouth from people who enjoyed it at film festivals and
Roger Ebert were the only raving about this movie. Im just saying it was not over-rated by the media
or anything, there was no big advertising budget and all that. It was highly rated by the people who
saw it and loved it, and thats a good thing!

Lots of good Zeppelin tunes in that one.

First movie to ever get the license to put Led Zepplin songs in a movie. 🙂

???

Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Small Soldiers
The Stoned Age
One Day in September

all have Zeppelin songs in them. not sure if licensed, but I'd assume so
