Thank you for the correction! I'm assuming that these aren't using the latest processes? Given the track record of Chinese companies "borrowing" technology/designs/concepts that they're paid to produce, I can't imagine that TSMC would want to give away their industry-leading secrets to someone that would abuse them.

The one in Nanjing is 28-nm.

Russia wasn't in danger of losing access to market for their Oil/Gas before the invasion. Now after the invasion they losing access to sell Gas/Oil and Western oil companies that had been helping Russia pump this Oil have pulled out of Russia. They have guaranteed their irrelevance.

They expended their influence card against the EU and now as India, China, etc start buying they are just another supplier. It will take the rest of this decade and many billions to reorient Russian gas supplies for China.

I thought we were just talking about FAB's in production and not under construction.

Even then, they have what, 2 in China and how many in Taiwan? And those 2 aren't exactly the crown jewels.

Same point.

And China told Biden not to play with fire. The big guy won't get his 10 points if he doesn't listen.

You just saw it. I've been a Democrat since I first saw John F. Kennedy on a portable TV screen.

I actually could turn the question around. What exactly have you Progressives or Socialists gotten done lately? Not much.

I'm just glad that it appears that Democrats got something done. Hope the measure passes. Now, let's finish helping the Ukrainians oust the Russians. Even though I don't think China is playing around this time.

I am proud Democrat. Sometimes, I quoted JFK's "Let every nation know" lines to my writing students.

But I got a much better reaction by showing a photo of Bobby Kennedy and trying to imitate his voice when he said: "Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream things that never were and say, 'Why not?"

Of course, they asked question after question. Which gave me an opportunity to explain that because of the Kennedys, Dr. King and LBJ, I was able to stand in front of them as an adjunct.

Well, are we going to war or what? Did the Speaker miss her flight? Are our fighter jets going to escort her aircraft?

I need to know the answer to these questions. I gotta plan my next month's senior citizen budget.

No, China not going to shoot down her plane. There are three carrier groups in the pacific. There is no chance China will risk it. All mouth and no action. Chinese Navy can't make it past the first island chain.

Personally, I do not believe China wants to risk even a limited war with the United States. Because that is what would happen if Pelosi's jet is downed.

I guess a good way out of this mess is to meet Taiwan's leaders in a Pizza Hut in on Guam.

Maybe in about three to four years China would risk it.

However, the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives has every right to visit Taiwan if this island's government extended the offer. Folks in the U.S. simply have to stand behind her.

Fenixgoon,

The U.S. and China will probably go to war before this decade is out.

I am certain Speaker Pelosi has been briefed on the peril. I am also sure the folks in Taipei are a bit concerned as well.

Err no, China has no interest in picking a fight with USA. They are more than happy to just talk tough for their own citizen's ego. They are the Ferengi.
