sup guys, i have no experience with tv cards on my system hence this quesiton...

i'm looking to get dish network at home sometime soon, and i was wondering if there was a way to get teh signal feed into a tv card? would i have to ask for another 'room installation' dedicated to my pc? or can i just split teh signal somehow? i dont know what their receivers use... thanks in advance for any help

I do this with my Direct TV system, it works great and you can record the PPV movies or anything else you want. All you need is a video capture card. A TV tuner is not needed because it won't tune the satellite channels anyway, you have to do all channel changing on the satellite reciever. Try to use S-Video w/RCA audio, or at least the composite RCA cables, not the coax. If your sat. reciever has two composite outputs you are in business, other wise you can use a splitter or get another reciever. I've been doing this for a while with excellent results with a 9700pro AIW and now with an ATI AIW card.
