I called CSUS just now and they go "yeah your admitted.. "

After all this hampering of running around they finally admit me. All other schools I got into months ago, only CSUS held on to the last moment.

Now i have to figure out other things..

Where am I going to stay. Who wants a roomate.. I am clean, nice, and definately a geek and I dont shed hair.

I need to get some sort of MAJOR financial aid... nothing has come thru yet.. *sniff sniff* .. damn it fafsa.. Actually I am clueless on what I am supposed to do.

I need a job (atleast 12/hr) or maybe an On Campus Work Study (I know in the graduate program the work study pays for your classes + stipend - what about UG? Notfred any positions at USGS? - assuming it pays for the schooling)

I need to figure out how i am going to transport myself to a new location .. away from my family and away from my sweetheart.

We have a hiring freeze here right now.

You'd bettre get your tuition paid soon, you have to have it in by wednesday to register on time for fall. Otherwise you'll have to do late registration and it'll be hard to get into classes.

It's $1019.50 for the semester (for more than 6 units). Payment is due by this wednesday, anyone who pays by this wednesday gets to register for classes on the 23rd.

You might want to call admissions and records and ask them if you can bay your registration by credit card over the phone or something. I know you can do it if you're already a student, but I don't know if you can'use the automated phone/computer registration stuff if you haven't taken classes before.

I was going to say something about your girlfriend and trying out for the football team but you give out good motorcycle advice, so I thought I'd be nice and refrain. :)

[AT response] Oh good, I'm moving out of the area just in time. [/AT response]

My response: Hope everything goes great for you! :)

I knew from the start that The Good Guy wasn't that innocent. He was looking for ways to escape his weirdo gf. LMAO! Hahahaha! Okay, I'm only teasing you. But why are you leaving to Sacramento? I thought you were already in college? You mean you were still in high school? Or are you transferring?

Well, I already have tall fences and bodyguards, lest I'm assaulted by a geek who found his way by stalking me with *hint* a secret camera in office and posted it on the internet in a geek forum. ;)

All right, for real, enjoy yourself. Hope you have fun in your new school and new city. Sacramento isn't that lively, but it's a decent place to live, since housing is cheap. You can always drive out to nice areas on weekends. I'll be looking out for an Indian dude on a motorcycle. ;)

Many of you wanted to know what vanessa thought of this..

well she is going to UCSB.. so we are going to have a LDR for a while until one of us graduates or we decided to cool off for a while (but i highly doubt we would do that).

I am transferring from my community college to CSUS for my BS degree. I have an AS from this school already.

As for stalking you or hotchic or anyone else.. i highly doubt that i would even do that..

I have to start afresh, new friends, new ppl etc etc. oh well ..

atleast I will take my motorcycle and so I can hook up with the existing riders i know out there. I highly doubt you will know if its an indian dude on a motorcycle because i wear a full face helmet and full gear. As for its nightlife I am not a big nightlife person. If its got a movie theater and a bar/nightclub I am more than happy.. and even so Tahoe is only 100 miles away.. walk across the border and i got the casino's ;)

My biggest fear right now is "money".. how am I going to pay for things.. with no financial aid (nothing come in yet) and no high paying job (until i can find one quick) i will be on my parents pockets which is going to be mighty expensive i should say.

It takes six hours to get to UCSB from UCD. ;) I've made the trip several times. If you want to go visit her, drop into the university at Davis, the very main building, called Memorial Union. If you go through the doors and down the hallway to the left (not the hallway with the coffeehouse) and turn right in the room the hallway opens up to, there's a "ride board" with people looking for/ looking to share rides. Last year there was someone wanting to go to SB every weekend and looking for someone to share gas costs with.

CSUs aren't that expensive, unless you're wasting money and living in the dorms. With your parents' help, you should survive. And it shouldn't be too much money for your parents, considering the fact that CSUs are pretty cheap (so is housing at Sacramento), and you'll at least have a low paying job. You can refund the cost at the end of school (i.e., when you graduate and get a good paying job).

Well, you never know, especially if you were stalking your coworker. There are many pretty ladies here, unlike the area you're leaving! ;) :D

I dont think i have ever stalked my coworker.. your confusing me with someone else.. I have never had a hot coworker worth stalking..

I dont know luvly.. after paying 11bucks a unit anything above that is expensive as heck. Its just that I will need atleast 1200/mo in income to pay my way thru college and live there..

This is teh first time i will be living on my own.. so there is a lot I dont know.. and i am having to take upon a lot of new responsiblities.

At least wages are somewhat decent up here, look hard enough and you should be able to land a part-time for $10+/hour, combine that with financial aid and your tuition will be no problem.

Finding a place to live on the other hands ...

Just your luck! I live right by Sac State (10mins by bike). Housing is not that tight here...expect to pay around $600-700 for a 1bdrm apt. My apt is $735/month in a gated community. My wife works at Jamba Juice and I can ask her to find out if they're hiring or not. I believe they pay about $7/hr. Anything else you want to know?

My brother transferred to UCD and is looking for a roomate in that area....

Good luck! First time moving out on your own is always scary/exciting. At least you'll be close to home. I had to move all the way across the country for my first time out :)
