Hopefully this post can turn atleast a few others away from ever buying Princeton products again, that's my goal here.

Atleast the company e-mailed me to tell me I wasn't going to get a rebate... if that's anything to be joyous about. Anyways, Princeton monitors on Newegg have been with a $100 rebate for quite some time, and I thought this might be a good purchase for a local computer club to raffle off.

So the reason for the denial was this:

Unfortunately your rebate is denied for the following reasons:
STORE RECEIPT NOT SUBMITTED
SEND PACKING SLIP
ORIGINAL PURCHASE NOT DURING REBATE PERIOD
PCHSED --VALID DATES: 11/01/04-04/30/05
INVALID, INCOMPLETE OR ALTERED RECEIPT

This was a Newegg specific rebate, Newegg doesn't give receipts, I sent a copy of the invoice. No mention in the rebate form about packing slips, I didn't even receive one from Newegg, they just slapped a FedEx label on the side of the monitor box & shipped it.

And the biggest, how is 02/28/05 NOT between 11/01/04 & 04/30/05?!!!

Plus the courtesy phone number given in the e-mail obviously never gets answered - not even gets you to a voice recording.

So even though they were kind enough to inform me - the point is they are going out of their way to say they are screwing me over & there is absolutely nothing I can do about it.

Contact Newegg customer support and let them know what happened. Since it is a Newegg-specific rebate, they have a stake in it too. I'm sure they want their customers to have confidence that the businesses they partner with are going to honor their rebates.

I agree with Stimpy1, call Newegg and see if they can give you another telephone number or an e-mail address for the rebate house. Mine was TCA, I think somewhere in NY state. That's where I had to send the documents, and I did get my rebate from them in a timely manner. I also got no packing slip as the monitor was shipped from Memphis, so I sent them a copy of my computer invoice from Newegg. I also had a real problem getting my rebate from Soyo on a MB I purchased through Newegg. I called Newegg and complained and they said they would make it good with me if I failed to collect from Soyo.
So your only at the beginning of a wonderful journey, but start with Newegg, then BBB, then your state attorney general, etc. Make a lot of noise!

Yeah, I had called Newegg once to see what they'd say about receipts & packing slips, I'll probably hit them harder in a day or two.

I just wanted to get this out because for one, I could hardly believe how bad this was! Usually the companies try & cover up the fact that they are purposely screwing you over. But here, they're coming right up in my face & announcing loud & clear that they're going to screw me over! I was actually more shocked than pissed off.

So like I originally stated, hopefully people will read this post, and know not to make the same mistake I did choosing a Princeton monitor.

Hmm, I guess I got lucky, I got the $75 rebate on my Senergy714 LCD in 6 weeks, as promised. I bought it at NewEgg, so I sent a copy of my invoice and the UPC and it went through fine...

I found out Princeton is switching rebate companies, and they won't be using TCA anymore. They are supposed to put out a press release on their website soon. Its seems like they DO care how their name is being represented.

I'll believe it only when I see it. And still I'll only trust them if they go back and give me my $100 that they owe me.
