Watch out for heat exhaustion!!!

I took a walk this morning, it was about as hot as I can remember (Boston area) and after a while I started seeing spots, but otherwise felt OK.

I went back to my apt. and drank alot of water and now my urine is dark orange.

This never happened to me before. I am generally alright with walking in the heat, but after 40mins or so it just sort of came over me, and I drank plenty of water before I went out.

EDIT: Oh and the part about the urine was definately TMI.

Simply put, you were dehydrated before you left for your walk. Before just about any type of activity outside in the heat, to include swimming, you should consume copious amounts of water BEFORE participating in the activity as well as during and after.

Yeah, you're way dehydrated. Your urine should never be very dark.

It's 95F but the heat index is 111F!!! That's outrageously hot for around here. The sun was bright when I was walking earlier too. When I walked yesterday morning it wasn't nearly as hot, and it was supposed to be the hotter of the 2 days.

I know. But he could've just said, "I was suffering from excessive dehydration" than what he actually did say.

I'm OK. As soon as I got back in and drank some water I felt better. I don't have thermometer and I don't want to go out to get one. I'll just chill for a while.
