The older required settings from last year specced an i7 3770 as the high end choice. Looks like quads are finally required for AAA titles.

I wonder how my X4 750k @ 4.4 GHz will handle it. Surpringly it's handling everything I've played fine so far. Using a 7850 2GB @ 1225/1425 currently.

are you sure? " Q8400 2.66Ghz " is slower than a current i3 for any MT workload I can think of, and it's a dual core.

The requirement is for four actual cores. We'll see on release how an i3 fares .

where does it say 4 cores are required?

I'm only seeing this "Official Watch Dogs Minimum PC System Requirements:

based on this information (q8400 as minimum) I would think a haswell core i3 (dual core) is above the minimum required since it's faster than the q8400, while let's say an A6-5200 (2ghz quad core) is not.

I played that with my E2180 @ 2ghz. Most of the time i had stable 30 fps with my GT 520 at 720p
