Watch Dogs doesn't have triple buffering?

I've noticed this is the only DirectX game where I've ever encountered the famous Vsync locked at either 60fps or 30fps. I thought this only happened with OpenGL games and that DirectX already had some kind of built-in triple buffering.

Anyway, I found out this is a bug, since switching from fullscreen to borderless and then back to fullscreen solved the issue. But I have to do this every time I play the game, so it's more a workaround than a fix. Anyone know a fix?

Your workaround is the only way I've read. People say the usual D3DOverrider fix doesn't work (due to it being a 64-bit only game). TBH, I've completely lost faith in all modern AAA quality control being even 1/4 of that of 1995-2005 games even after months of patching (let alone on launch day)...

Thats mostly thanks to the poor QC of console titles. Watch Dogs is just a port, and not a great one.

I dunno I never use vsync because input lag is far worse than a little bit of tearing.
