Watch Dog to have "gloriously graphical detail and animation"

Yeah i am making fun of that max payne thread. I enjoyed 1 & 2 but really wasn't going to bother with 3. But since I just got a 670, decided i need to use it for something other than SC2 and D3. I was really disappointed in everything about the game unfortunately. The graphics reminded me of FF: Spirits within. It just seemed dead. Too much uncanny. Missing too many principles of animation.

Watching the trail for Watch Dogs...WOW! This makes mp3 look like minimum payne 0. It looks like has almost everything MP3 doesn't have. Makes me glad i didn't waist my money on the 670. (Had just bought a 560-448 when Amazon had it on special for $200. Then sold it for $300 and got a 670, wish there were more great cards in the $200 range, really liked that 560-448 actually).

This game does look seriously badass though. My only concern would be how repetitive a lot of the hacking game play elements get if it's too obvious to one button win yourself out of every situation.

Is there even any indication on when this game is coming out? The E3 vid looked impressive but trying to base which video card you should be running for this game seems a bit silly to me right now. *shrug*

This.
OP, why would you crack your head on what graphic card to use for a game that may/may not come before Q1 next year? Enjoy the trailer and worry about the gfx card later.

Max Payne 3 doesn't look bad at all, and I think the animations were excellently done.

Watch Dogs looks really neat, but in terms of graphics, I can't make any judgements based off of a blurry, compressed Youtube video.

Graphics and animation looked stellar. The gameplay looked good for the shooting parts, but the cell phone hacking looked extremely gimmicky and seems to be what 80% of the game revolves around. If they can make it work without feeling silly, it looks like a nice marriage of GTA and Assassin's Creed.

Yeah Mp3 is great. More games need bullet damage. I'm tired of shooting a bad guy 10 times and seeing the same canned death animation over and over.

It kinda reminds me of the TV show, Person of Interest. So looks like 2012 for this & it will only be considered if they drop the stupid Uplay disaster from it.

Yeah there is one scene in the gameplay trailer where an innocent inside a car is hit by a bullet and the blood splashes on the front glass. Got myself some goosebumps there.

When is this coming out? It looks amazing. I also love that it's a 10 minute video of actual gameplay, not some 60 second trailer.

There's new gameplay footage at:

Watching it I couldn't help but being reminded of the show Person of Interest especially at the beginning and when the character's scans showed potential victim/crime probability.

I know it's a game and we don't know much of what it's about but the main character seemed to be very bad at his job. In preventing a potential assault on the victim the protagonist lets the perpetrator get on the run allowing the perp to fire wildly behind him possibly hitting several innocent bystanders in the cross fire. Then to get away the protagonist wrecks two cop cars possibly severely injuring the police officers not to mention any innocent bystanders who could have been injured/killed when the second police car lost control after having it's tire shot out.

If the protagonist is some tech-wizard renegade dispatching his own brand of justice then why didn't he just create his own fake police badge and/or shoot the perp in the knee or taze him to prevent him from running? Of course there's probably multiple solutions in the game and this path was chosen to show off some of the various ways to use tech and the parkour abilities of the protagonist but's it's funny on it's own to see how ineffective the protagonist is at the task.

This looks great. Even if it is assassin's creed in modern day New York, it's a worthwhile concept. Loved how the guy waited at the curb and then ran to get to the other side of the street.
