I know that $500 isn't going to get me into a high end Omega or Breightling. But I would like something a little higher end than my titanium Seiko that I wear as my everyday watch.

What would you suggest?

rolex > everything else > timex

see Chinatown street corner vendor. rolex for cheap!

not sure Rolex trumps all. Personally I like Breightling better, but both are outta my price range.

a cool thing about rolex is the name recognition. you can go just about anywhere in the world and they will know what a rolex is.

Definately check out Tissot. I have this one: http://www.classybrand.com/wat...issot&pid=T17.1.586.52

LMK if you need a hookup. I have a contact at a NYC jewelry store that can get you about 33% off retail prices and you still get the factory warranty since they are an authorized distributor. They charge about $15-20 for shipping anywhere in the US last time I checked.

Local Stores charge $400-$450 for that watch, I paid $235 + shipping.
