Don't mind the rest of the thread, it's just a big flame war on rwd vs awd. 😉

EDIT: Also, I can't help but wonder what that 996 Turbo would have done had the owner spent the kind of money on aftermarket stuff that the owner of the VR4 did. Of course I also wonder how much faster the VR4 would have been if the owner had lightened the car instead of adding a bunch of flab (for example, the PS/2 and the wing) to it.

No, he's trying to play the oldest game in the book. He drives the car slow first two times to make the other guy think his car is slow. Third time, put down a lot more money and run with everything you got. But he lost at his own game.
Oh my. If I bought one, the first thing I'd do would be to remove that monstrosity.Originally posted by: OS
That wing is stock on '99 VR4s. :QOriginally posted by: Zenmervolt

Buncha weight? It's just a PS2 -- not like he put an XBOX in or something. 😀 😉Originally posted by: Zenmervolt

Hmm, get rid of the active aero... sounds like a good plan to lighten the car up! 😀
Heck, I'd get rid of lots of the gadgety doohickey junk in a 3S VR4... it's like that 300ZX, a lot of extraenous crap you don't need.
EDIT: crap... the "steady" camera is reminding me of seizures I get from accidentally tuning into HiRev Tooners.

BTW, my programming teacher likes to point out that his ex-girlfriend was able to insure her VR4 as an SUV because it weighed more than 3500 pounds and was 4WD. He said she saved a good amount in insurance since it wasn't insured as a sports car.
