honestly, if you want to see and feel a real paradigm shift in thought, sit down and write out all of the positives you can think of about the card, (don't obsess, take like 20 minutes) then sit down and read it back about ten times. Proactive memory management is frikin fabulous, glad I care to try. Its cool when you can tell you manipulated your memory on a physialogical level.
you would physically be burning in a greater, positive array of associations to that card, whenever you think about it, the chances of getting noticable pleasures sensation is much higher.
what just happened is that you researched something, then cheated yourself on an impulse buy. You felt that way, then probably found it cheaper, or something better for the same price, then dwelled on it, burning in a completely negative association to the whole thought of the card. bad enough that you felt it necessary to go to others to lessen the pain of that bad association.
btw: you didn't waste your money. Thats another bad link to the card. Rather, put the card out of the whole scenario. Instead, burn the feeling you got of getting owned to the act of impulse buying in general. Then wait a few thoughts to think of the card, then think about how cool it is that you were able to get your dad that a card that will handle DOOM3, and that you are just doing your part to give back to your family.
