that let you check to see if a file in your taskmanager was suspicious or not? Like you typed in Explorer.exe and it said what it was for and if it was spyware,virus etc....?

Yup, it's called google.com.

I've always just searched for the program ("explorer.exe") and it would usually come up with this site http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/explorer/ that has a description of it. And, of course, if that site doesn't have it, google would give you many other sites as well.
