a lot of people are saying how common this is in organized bball and on the playground. But I can assure you that a majority of the time when the ball is tossed at another player it's when they're trying to save the ball from going out of bounds NOT when you're inbounding the ball.

I'm sure if this was done in a pick a game or even during league games, that person would get a beat down.

No question that it's not illegal, but he should've gotten something for unsportmanslike conduct.

In sports its is very easy to get away with illeagal violance. proving intent is impossiable almost . Unless the player states otherewise.

Best example is Auto racing were drivers use the cars as weapons . I have seen it with my own eyes, Driver always says he didn't mean it .

I have won 2 championships. I can tell you for fact . I have never hit another car accidently. I have been involved in crashes that were unavoidable.

If you hit me your going to get hit back 2x as hard. Even at the risk of self . I am one of the few who admitt to it . Almost all others claim accidental problems, It is these same guys that are consistanly having problems with other drivers. These guys don't belong on the race track. If they can't control their machines. Racing is about control not lead footing it.

Tony Stewart is great example. He hits ya on purpose and doesn't deny it. I have never raced against Tony but my son has. Tony likes to run small dirt track races. I have raced agaist Schordier(spelling) tho and beat him.
