I only have a savings account with them that made about $2 interest... and I didn't get a 1099-INT... Am I not getting one? (aka Should I still wait or just go ahead and file?)

Has anyone gotten their 1099-INT from WaMu yet?

*sorry if this is suppose to be in the tax thread.. I thought it would be easier/quicker here)

By law 1099s must be mailed by Jan-31 so you should have gotten yours, but they might not be obligated to send one for interest that puny.

Look on your December bank statement and it will probably show you interest earned to date.

with my emigrantdirect account, i made $0.97 intereste (opened the account december 3) and they sent me a form for my taxes...

I believe that they don't have to send you one if the reportable interest is under $10.

I dug around and found this info as well. I decided to file anyway since I can calculate the amount myself....

I ended up oweing Federal $9 and state $31 =(
