I wash my mouse pad with an old toothbrush and some dishsoap. I didnt pay $20 for it though.

I wash mine with paper towels and some dishsoap. I have a Func Surf 1030 whcih cost me $20, so yea..... don't want to throw that away either. It gets dirty after a bit. Some food stains =( Soda spills =(

Mouse pads cost all of a half dollar. Throw it away and buy a new one. Or throw it in the wash. If it survives, great. If not, dig in the couch for enough money to get another one.

Why are you so worried about ruining your $20 mousepad by washing it, but you're so careless with your drinks near it?

Sure they are, but if you're so worried about a $20 mousepad, clear a space on your desk away from your mousepad for sticky things.

Why do you still use a mouse pad?

Some folks prefer not to f*ck up their desk? Mice feet do wear into the desk. I have a wireless optical and I use a mousepad.

Also, some folks have desks that are a solid color and reflective -too bland for optical mice to work properly on. My desk is made of wood so you can see the grain, but still.

Better aim with mouse pads compared to this wooden desk.

P.S.- I advice you guys to wash your mousepad (if you still use one) and check out the dirty water.
