lol r u serious? Yes english is my primary language although I admit Im not a good writer

About your problem -- SOL. Never trust anyone in academia. Unless you absolutely can't help it, NEVER EVER EVER work in groups. One is inherently egotistical and will always do what they perceive to be the best for them. They (the people that shared with the other group) deserve an ass-reaming by you for their treachery. I would attempt to seperate yourself from the individuals that purposefully screwed you over in that class, both mentally and physically. Good luck but you may be fighting a losing battle.

I am sure the world works that way, from academia to your job

same here, ive been lucky 90% of the time and got people who will honestly do the work, and its great when you end up with a group where each person kinda has a area they are good at (mine thermodynamics, FEA and CAD/CAM).

though i have been in a group once where 2 members decided the pub was a much better option than work. but at least we got the oppertunity to skew the marks given to us. i knew i did most of the work for the project, so i put that down, (the other members readily agreed that they had been lazy and not done the work) i got a good mark in the end.

the lecturers hate group work as well, and know all the ****** that happens when group work goes on. but in all honesty there isnt time to mark 200 + individual courseworks. so it goes into groups.

i had this happen my junior year in college....the prof called me into his office and showed me a copied paper, the guy had even copied my doodles (it was a math class and i like drawing little diagrams of things). I was pissed cause i knew it was all my own work and i was now getting a 0 on the assignment. So i handled it the way any guy would, confronted him in the hallway, puched him in the gut, choaked him up against and wall, and told him to confess.

Turns out I had worked with him a few minutes before class and had went to the bathroom, well in that time i guess he went to a copier and copied my paper. He didnt come to class that day which i thaught kinda wierd, and i guess he turned in the paper after class. He went to the prof and confessed, i ended up taking a 75% credit whcih to me was fair cause i should have never been so stupid. He ended up getting expelled from the university.
