........Gay??? I've watched the movie a few times and everytime I see Willem Dafoe's character I get that impression. The way he looks at Chris (Charlie Sheen); it just creeps me out. I know he's trying to look out for him since he's a newbie, but he seems a bit TOO interested:eek:

I never got the impression that he was gay...but I sometimes the way he looked did get a little creepy....like when his eyes bugged out and he had that huge smile on his face.

I imagine a couple of tours of duty in Nam might cause one to get a little antsy

I've got nothing but respect for anyone who made it through
their tour over in that hell hole.

No, that wierd smile of from that he found a sense of peace after the examanation of death after three or four tours in the field. If Dafoe was gay and making making a move on Sheen, He would have probally done it when they where all high smoking dope in the underworld tent.

In Stones Nam war trilogy, Platoon screenplay was written by Stone, Born on the 4 July was a commisioned screenplay and Heaven and Earth screenplay was based on Le Ly Hayslip memoirs.

Wasn't this based on Stone's book or was it just a screenplay?
