I am no major Fan of the 500, first one I have been able to watch in a few years, but:
Good race, lots of action, lots of human type screw ups, no body majorly hurt.
What do you think?

I think it sucked that the yellow came out with 2 laps to go as Tracy had the leader dead in his sihgts and would have blown by him easily for the Team Green Win.

The Indy has sucked for years. Used to really enjoy it but it just seems like anymore it can't hold my attention for more than 10 minutes.

Can't you pull in a Chicago station with an antenna? When I lived in Columbus we'd pull in a Louisville or Cincinatti station with rabbit ears and have a big party at somebody's house.

Although I'm no expert and I didn't watch the race and the first I heard that the race was going on was by you, I say it was a great race too.

I thought that if there's a wreck and a yellow comes out, you race to the line and not have it decided instantaneously like that. Besides, ABC has yet to show a split screen of the yellow and the pass...

I'm not really a huge race fan, but I do enjoy watching them every once in a while. I had the race on today while I was doing stuff and watched the last 10 laps or so with all the action and the finish with the wreck at the very end and the finish under caution. I'll be watching the Coca-Cola 600 this evening, too.

YES! I thought the AMD sticker was upside down also! Good call!

Finish did suck as Tracy did have a chance but rest of race was above par.

Compare to other years.

I never knew that it was blacked out. This is the first time I have ever been in this area during the race. Usually I was up in South Bend where we were getting Chicago channels.

I have not watched the Indy 500 since I was a kid and found out that going left is pretty damn boring.

Only NASCAR races back to the line on a yellow. I HATE that rule. I race NASCAR modifieds, and believe me, that rule is unsafe. Nothing worse than seeing cars wrecked down the front stretch, but you know you have to fly past at full speed or risk being passed before the line. Most other sanctioning bodies revert back to the last completed full lap in the event of a yellow.

The 500 was decent. I hate yellow flag finishes in any races, so that sucked. I would prefer them to say the race has to finish under green, and just had a 2 lap sprint to the finish.

There were two in car cameras. One at the front of the car facing back, where the sticker was upside down. And other in back of the driver facing forwards, where it was right side up. They put it where they think the most camera coverage will be for that day, which is usually the one above the driver.

Thanks for the clarification. Sportscenter finally showed what I wanted to see, the split screen of the yellow and Tracy's pass. He beat the yellow and should have been the leader with one caution lap to go. Good luck overturning it though...
