well i finished building my gaming rig and i tried to install windows but failed because it was a burned copy and it wouldnt boot. because i was desperate to play my games on my new computer i installed the trial version of Windows XP Pro x64. so everything is fine but the trial lasts only 120 days and so im gonna have to install a new OS. im scared that after the 120 days trial imma lose all my files and games. will this happen?

You can back up your files and hopefully your saved games (depends on the game I guess). You'll need to reinstall the games, and all other applications when you reinstall the OS.

After 120days you won't be able to access your files, only after activation of the win x64 will you get access to them, your files won't dissapear just that you won't be able to access them

And you won't be able to upgrade to XP Pro because you have a newer version of windows on your computer. You would want to backup ur drive so you can pull all your game info back to your drive after you install your new OS. Or you could pay full price for the X64 version.
