After 6 years my Sony Vaio lappytop is showing it's age as the backlight is beginning to fail (monitor has a pink hue when it boots or comes out of hibernation) and the harddrive is "getting old" according to Speedfan's online Smart diagnostic tool. I do get random freezes now that I never got before and I am certain it is the harddrive. I will eventually fix the backlight, but I am putting it off because it is a pita to do so. Anyways I decided to get a desktop and have two computers so I bought this refurbished guy from Tiger Direct for 271.98 shipped. I also bought a 19"HPvs19e lcd from a local pawn shop for 80.00 and it's image quality is perfect.

I liked this computer because it has a parrelel port which my old HP 820cxi printer requires and the built in tv tuner so I can output the tv signal to my RCA tv and won't need a converter( rabbit ears here) box come Feb.

Good price?

Sorry, not the format needed to post in Hot Deals. You need to just post a link with a price and that's it. This isn't forum where we ask if it's a good deal or not. You can repost it in OT if you wish.

Which OS did it come with? How strong is the power supply? Just wondered if you were intending to add a video card to it.

You think so too huh. I was looking for 2 weeks both online and locally when I noticed this unit on Tiger's website and it sounded pretty damn good. I actually bought an Acer(SSF) package deal from Walmart that had a 19" widescreen monitor, but i returned it after 3 days. I just decided I didn't want to spend 600.00 on a secondary computer and thought I could do OK if I shopped around.
I'm pretty sure the one I got was the only one they had because the day after i ordered it their website no longer had it as available.

Windows Home Premium(both on a recovery partition and a recovery dvd) 300 watts, No but I can add one using the expansion slot. I don't do any gaming or anything that rquires a high end video card. hell, it looks brand new it even gas all the stickers on it. It also came with a wireless keyboard+mouse combo, speakers, tv remote control unit and the infrared usb dongle(or whatever it's called for the remote) and 4 Duracell AA batteries.
