Well, you were asking a question about whether X-men 3 was the 2nd or 3rd movie in the series. I think that qualifies under the "ask a stupid question ...." scenario.
Could have been a marketing scheme. The BlockBuster lady searched for all conceivable variations of X-Men II and didn't find anything. It made no sense to me either - so I asked the question.
