Was the Nissan Titan a bargain when it first dropped?

I went to a barbecue and the host had a Nissan Titan we were all getting gear out of. I commented on the truck and he said its been great, he's had it for about a year now. I tell him it must've cost a pretty penny and he looks at me funny.

He then told me it was cheaper than the F150 and Silverado. In fact, he was originally looking at a Chevy Colorado but then bought the Titan. He got his XE crew cab under $20k!! Was Nissan really doing this when it first dropped? Were they that desperate for sales?

I saw one up close the other day, and I'll say, it's the most impressive midsize truck I've seen yet. It beats the tar out of an F-150; in fact, it's BIGGER than an F-150 from what I can tell.

They are as far as I care. I don't class trucks "normally".

3/4 ton and larger is full size, 1/2 ton is midsized, less is girlie.

the nissan frontier, dodge dakota, and toyota taco are midsized. the f150 and titan are definitely fullsized. and anything bigger than an f150 is heavy duty.

Don't get mad girl it isn't worth it. Just tell us what panties you wear while driving your little truck. Pics would be even better.

They all have there place. I would much rather see some dude who actually uses the bed every once in a while driving a Ranger than some b!tch who has no use for a truck driving an F350 with a monster hitch and winch cause she wanted all the options.

I would like a truck and could probably justify having one more than 99% of people that drive them but I haven't had one in 10 years. If I need one I go rent it.

That isn't exactly the little truck I had in mind.

Anyway I can usually convince home depot or Lowes to deliver for free or I rent their truck. If I need something I can't have delivered I rent from Armada Vans or Penske.

I want a truck but I want an older F150 and since my Zs eat all the money I don't see it happening right now.
