You are wrong. Where did I say that? I don't know about others but I never stop being a parent and will never let my daughter go with an older person. Hence my statement.

So if your daughter were 27 and dating a 53 year old that's not okay and you'd do something to force them apart? Even though they are two consenting adults?

A father has the right to oppose a relationship of such a vast age difference. But at that age, if he raised her right and she is of sound mental capacity, he would leave it to her because it's her life. But, at the age of 16, it's a whole other ballgame.

Its a case by case basis but I will still be involve or give my advise the way I think that is right.

My statment was merely explaining to people on this thread the difference between a 16yo and 18yo. Nothing magically happens when you turn 18. Having a 16yo, and guys always staring, I am so glad the law is in place.

Here o daughter of mine, you are 16 and I give you this Porsche because you're responsible enough to be on the roads and drive an expensive car. Don't go dating any older guys though. Your mind is not developed enough to do that.

and apparently a completely different ball game a mere two years later at 18 where she can tell him to suck a dick and she rides off into the sunset with her 50 year old rich bastard.

are the two years between 16 and 18 more significant than the 9 years between 18 and 27?

Why are you so hung up on these two years? And who will stand by and do nothing if they're 18 year old tries to marry a 50 year old?

To people that ask whats the difference between a 16 and 18? If its your daughter thats the difference. Even 16 and 20 gap, the difference becomes your concern if its your daughter.

I would have bought my daughter rubbers at that age if she had asked me to.

it's really only an issue if the parents bring it up.

To be a "Sex Offender", sex has to have been performed, at the very least. If some kind of evidence of such a thing can be offered, maybe he was. That will depend on the Laws in the particular jurisdiction.

Umm, you can touch someone underage and be labeled a sex offender by law.

Isn't having sex with a pregnant woman pretty much rape? That fetus can't consent and probably traumatized, breeding yet another pedo. Vicious circle. :hmm:

A pedophile is attracted to pre-pubescent children. Physically a 16 year old is basically an adult. So a true pedophile wouldn't "settle" for a 16 year old.

Honestly, I bet you are as attracted to 16 year girls as Paul Walker was ;)

QFT...also statutory rape only really holds up when the chick and her family is against it.

The relationship was healthy, I don't know why so many are putting their nose into it.

Here as long as the partners are within 16 and 24 it's totally legal.

No this is not true. Someone can expose themselves to someone and be considered a sex offender.

ATOT is clearly not the place for legal discussions.

The topic came up in Walker's death thread but was swiftly deleted by moderators who wanted the thread to be a positive one. But the fact that he dated 2 girls at the age of 16 when he was well into his 20s and 30s has me wondering who this guy really was. Today, R. Kelly is widely considered to be a pedophile because there's a video floating around of him having sex with a 15/16 year old. He was also put on trial. Wouldn't that put Mr. Walker into the same category? One 16 year old would raise eyebrows. Two would be confirmation that something is seriously wrong with him, IMHO.

Who gives a fuck? :colbert:
