No, PokerGuy is wrong. Morse used Clementi to criticize groups NOM opposes in the gay marriage battle, not speak to the issues surrounding his suicide.

So? Is there some regulation that says when and how you can invoke someone's name? Is there some restriction that says that during the discussion / event that day NOM could only talk about one particular aspect or topic?

cubby's right, you're just letting your particular perspective cloud your rational view on the matter.

The bottom line is, you (or the Clementi family or whatever groups out there) don't like NOM using Clementi to attempt to bolster whatever point they're trying to make. It's a complete non-issue IMO.

By all means, go off the deep end. The original question is whether it's appropriate or in good taste to do what Morse did. Nowhere did I say anything about "regulations" or "restrictions" being either present or supported.

Using a kid who committed suicide after being outed as gay to attack groups that support gay marriage is in very poor taste.
