On the idea of asking for donations... is that not good only because it could be a scam or because it's just not allowed here???

I am sure it's a real syndrome, but that doesn't mean someone can't fake it. I could start a website saying, I have cancer and make a whole site with picks and everything asking for money. Just because Cancer is real doesn't mean i didn't make it up. I am not claiming you made it up though, i am just explaining that it is probably safer for the admins to lock it just in case, its a shame but there are alot of bad people on the internet.

PM the mods. Some have gotten approval in the past.
But asking for money, fs/ft type things are generaly gonna get banned.
Lastly, please just relax. Mods are just doing their job.
I'm sure they would let your thread go if you took out the donation part. And you'd still be helping because if someone visited your site, and decided to donate, they would.
