was jurassic park one of the best movies ever?

not ever, but i am still amazed at the realism of the textures and lighitng and bump mapping etc on the computer generated parts of the dinosaurs of the movie.
 
Yeah it was really good. One of the best? Meh.

The thing that really sucked about it is it gave them an excuse to make 2 and 3.
 
man i love that movie. saw it in 1993 or 1994, i was young back then. i still remember seeing it

i wanna see it again!!!!!!
 
I thought it was awesome until I read the book. Then I was really disgusted.

Then I saw the Lost World, and threw up.
Then I saw III and wanted to murder someone.

The books were one milllion times better than the movies.
 
I thought it was a great movie, especially for its time...

what'd they do all those special effects on, a Pentium 133?
 
When i was younger i thought it was awsome. But now that i think it's rather bad. Some of the scenes lose their "continuity" feeling, lots of holes in that plot.

i haven't read the rest of this thread yet, just your OP, and i agree with you. i still love watching it to this day, especially in 5.1 at home.

but before reading the rest of the posts below so far, i am guessing that the majority of the people on this board do not like the movie because they are so negative and so picky with movies ...

EDIT: well i must admit i'm a little surprised that as many people said it was a decent movie as they did 😛
