my brother just called and yelled at me for not coming to get her. so we had a fight.
was it wrong?
ps unfortunately at the moment she does have a cellphone, her tracfone expired some time ago.

my borther calims greyhound is very damgerous for a 50 yr old woman. is he right or is he simply a product of an anti-public transport society?
what is atot's opinion.

drive. no i don't own a car and don't have a license since no one in my family was nice enough to take me to the texas department of puvlic safety.i got my ID by going there alone.

i would have had to take the ut Austin bus. it would have have taken me there yesterday and brought me back Sunday night. i would have missed doing homework on Sunday and a reading since the book arrived today (amazon prime Saturday shipping).

also this was the same bro who dropped her off at the greyhound station. so i don't see why the whole fault lies with me. he could have driven her, or got a her a plane ticket.

What do the folks 'round the tire fire have to say about it? Or at this time a day are they still in their trailers?

due to the comments here. i am beginning to think i might be wrong in this thing. well i emailed my bro to say sorry (i am scared of him so didn't call.)

It's just the Greyhound bus, and not really a very long trip, your mom will be fine

Why didn't your brother ride with your mom if he was so concerned?

thats what i figured. he didn't ride because my mom would never have let him.

the greyhound station is up at highland mall. or at least it was. not a bad area (though bus stops make just about anything a bad area). i don't think a UT bus runs up that far, though. you'd have to take regular city of austin. which are, or were, nicer buses anyway.

Nothing wrong with letting her ride Greyhound and picking her up at the bus station. Greyhound is fine. Your brother should get a clue or pick her up herself.

yeah its right next to highland mall. thats where i went last to week to escape the cold when i came.nice place really.

hmm. seems like after the updates nobody is giving me the BAD son remarks

edit.
all ut busses are city of austin buses and there very nice. the bus i was talking about is a weekly shutle that goes to houston on friday and returns on sunday.

OP:

I don't think you're the only one at fault here, I mean I do think your brother should have rode with your mom if he was so concerned, and the fact that she "wouldn't let him" should not have stopped him. If her intent to ride alone was so strong that she wouldn't ride if he rode, then the fault lies on her for riding alone. However, being a student at a school of ~50,000 students, surely there's someone who could have given you a ride to the bus stop to pick up your mom. Just my 2 cents.

But, if she didn't get hurt and nothing got stolen, then it doesn't really matter anyway.
