I doubt it, but I sure wouldn't taunt them to find out. IIRC, bison kill more people in Yellowstone than anything else.

Awesome looking animals, and tasty to boot!

Yah, we were all sitting very still and we didnt have the flash turned on on the camera, for obvious reasons. I was more worried about the people in the jeep with no windows or doors!

They're huge and powerful animals. But they won't bother you, if you don't do anything stupid.

Many moons ago we wre at Yellowston and a herd came wandering through blockign the road.

Some idiot in a souped up Ca dunebuggy started leanign on his horn.

An raggy looking bull must have become pissed off - he charged the buggy and flipped it.
Walked away with some sheds of fiberglass hung off a horn.
It was fun waltching the idiot clamber out of the vehicle when he realized that what was the target of the bull.

And you're splitting hairs...American Bison are commonly referred to as buffalo

Linky Linky

An American Bison is a bovine mammal, also commonly known as the American Buffalo, or simply buffalo, something of a misnomer as it is only distantly related to either of the two "true buffalos": the Water Buffalo and the African Buffalo.

Anyways, what's in a name?? A buffalo by any other name is still a tasty dinner :D
