Was Hannibal better than Silence of the LAMBS.????? <EdIt/> Hopefully this time I have the title up to konichiwa's approval.. <edit/>

Wow I went and saw Hannibal and it was much much different than the first &quot;SILENCE OF THE LAMBS&quot;... The first was a suspense and the second was more of a Horror...
I just wanted to know what others think.. Pretty gross though.. I honestly cant decied if I liked it or not....

It's not called Hannibal 2...and the first one was not called Hannibal 1. And the first one was much better, but IMO they were totally different movies.

I'm surprised Anthony Hopkins agreed to do it. I heard Ridley Scott directed the 2nd one. He's a good director.

thanks taz, i've been trying to figure out what the first one was called. was manhunter any good. personally I thought hannibal was okay. Truthfully I see it as a sign that we have a sick society, but i'm not complaining. The plot left me with something to be desired, but thats not why people go to see that type of movie.

In my never to be humble opinion I thought Manhunter was the best by a wide margin. It was just released on DVD as well.

IMO Manhunter was good but I liked SOTL better. They're both better than Hannibal though. :Q

It's not called the SECOND Hannibal either. It's called Hannibal. The previous one was called Silence of the Lambs. And the one before that was called Manhunter.

I liked Hannibal. It wasn't better but it was different ...

That was nasty though at the end with the brain at the table with the feeding. Very nasty.

I wasn't grosses out until my friend mentioned when he put it on the stove it looked like chopped meat. Was gonna have burgers too.

I wasn't at all impressed with Hannibal ... in fact, I think only the great portrayal of Hannibal by Hopkins saved this thing from being total crap. Then again, perhaps I didn't enjoy it because I'd already read the book and the movie pretty much followed the book line for line (other than the ending).

Pretty lame though, I was hoping for much better.....

Yeah I left Hannibal wanting something more.

SOTL was SOOO much better, more scary and a much better movie overall.

If you are going to the movies hannibal is prob the best thing out there now but not the greatest
