That was last weeks episode of Banshee. It was brutal. Shot him point blank with a shot gun in the side, and they showed it just ripped out, then shot him in the head and showed half his head blow off with an eyeball hanging. It was quite memorable as it was totally unexpected.

I enjoyed much of the first season of Banshee. The story and the setting is pretty good, with a few off-the-wall characters. There was even some pretty decent acting.

But the violence and brutality are just off the charts. The fight scenes are long, drawn out blood baths. Haven't made it through the second season and I'm not sure I can.

Hard to say. I haven't witnessed that many fistfights to the death in real life, and the ones that I did see were years ago, so my memory is fuzzy.

Make no mistake, Banshee is intended to be totally over-the-top in a pulp-fiction sort of way. It's fairly unique, but you might have to watch a couple of episodes to decide whether or not its for you.
