Was Brokeback Mountain the ultimate Asian Guy's revenge?

Think about it. For years Hollywood has portrayed Asian men as asexual beings. When I was growing up, it was hard to find any movie or TV show where I saw an Asian man portrayed as a romantic interest.

Now, in 2005, an Asian man has directed a movie with two virile white men making out with each other! Ha! Take that! How do you like it?

Edit: Corrected punctuations and stuff! 🙂

What abou Keanu Reeves and Dean Cane/Kane whatever the **** his name is.

I know they're mixed, but still 😛

Either way, I just can't see an Asian male as being a sexual being...it just doesn't seem right. Maybe it IS b/c you never see then in the movies 😀

There should not be a comma in your topic...

He was living out a homosexual fantasy, he watches the movie eight times daily and masturbates feverishly during each one.

I thought it was pretty interestion for Ang Lee to direct Brokeback Mountain, because he actually directed another movie titled Wedding Banquet about a homosexual Taiwanese man who fakes his wedding so his parents don't find out that he's gay. He does have a wife and kids though, and his parents are well aware of the movies that he directs, so I don't think he's a closet homosexual.

In regards to the OP, if you want to see a movie where an Asian guy (specifically Korean) gets the non-Asian girl, watch Harol and Kumar Go to Whitecastle. 🙂
