Was at Times Square today...

While waiting in front of the AMC25 theaters, I noticed the streets empty. Then I heard LOUD sirens. About twenty police officers in motorcycles zoomed by followed by jet black chevy tahoes (or suburbans) with police officers carrying assault rifles. There were about 6 chevy's then followed by limos and towncars(??). Then about ten more chevy's followed with Ford Vans filled with Plainclothed officers.

I was awestruck, too bad I didn't have my camera. There was this guy next to me with his Nikon D100 snapping away like CRAZY. Lucky guy. There were about 200 police officers riding on bikes patrolling. Newscrews everywhere.

I've never seen so much police officers in my life, it was great!

I love New York City.

I live in NYC, been to times square too many times to count this summer.

I just mentioned how cool it was when I saw all that beefed up security, something not even I'm used to. (frequent Penn Station commuter)

If that comment wasn't for me though, I'll shut up.

Mostly about the guy snapping pictures like crazy. What is he going to say about those pictures...so I was in new york. Here are some cars. Here are some cops.

I can't wait for this fscking convention to be over. I'm sick of the sirens, the protesters, the fscking tourists stopping to take pictures of people getting arrested and every cop car that whizzes by them.

Haha if you see each Police officer, instead of handcuffs they have about 10 or so of those plastic zip tie things as makeshift handcuffs.

Yeah, they have little sacks full of em. I like the big riot batons too. They don't paint em black to that you really notice them. More of a visual deterrant than anything.

I can't wait until the convention is over to go buy gf's cousin (NYPD) a couple beers. He's been working his ass off and I'm sure he's got lots of stories.
