Can you believe this woman? She just went on and basically associated all forms of left wing agenda and liberalism with being Anti-American.

That is disgusting, If she represented my constituency she would receive an earful from me.

So what? She didnt say democrats, she said left-wing. Most democrats are not the rabid left wing that we see on the internet.

As far as i'm concerned, the socialst left is as bad as the relig-nut right.

Hey, it's not just P&N where conservatives are low-brow uneducated knuckle dragging racist bigots! It's not conservatives that hate the consititution, it's all the neo-cons.

She's terrible. A religious nutcase that makes Bush look like an agnostic.

Well that's all true, except for the racist part; most un-American, low brow, uneducated, knuckle-draggin' Constitution-hating conservatives here aren't racist. ;)

The other thing she did is a couple years ago she planted a big ol' kiss right on W's lips. Everyone else was shaking hands, possibly doing the one-armed handshake-plus-hug thing, but she just leaned into him.

That was pretty insane...pretty sad to see Pat Robertson defending her. Meanwhile, Katrina vanden Heuvel was genuinely upset. So was I.
She the type that appeals to the people in that Al Jazeera clip posted here yesterday. Scary!!

As much as the Chavez-loving squad here would like to think it, Obama isnt exactly aligned 100% with them. He is socially liberal, but he leans right on a lot of things.

I remember her speaking at the RNC, she freaked me out with her really shitty speech talking about "Minnesota Nice." It made no sense. Then she said she had like 30 foster kids with those crazy eyes of hers and I had nightmares.

That doesn't make either side anti-american.

You can say Ayers and Wright are anti-american, but going on and saying members of congress should be investigated? WTF.. That is BS.

It's a shame the republicans always have to fall back on this rhetoric every election year.

Haha, I wondered if it was her as soon as I read the thread title.

She visited my company a while back (we're one of the fastest growing companies in the Twin Cities) and she's very... how shall I say... rah rah Republican. She managed to turn a congratulatory speech to our employees into an anti-Democrat rant.

Wiki has some info on her:

Bachmann introduced the Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act, to repeal the nationwide phase-out of conventional light bulbs

Appearing on the radio program "Prophetic View In The News" to promote her 2004 state capitol rally against same-sex marriage, Bachmann said that "God calls us to fall on our faces and our knees and cry out to Him and confess our sins. And I would just ask your listeners to do that now. Cry out to a Holy God

In a 2001 article, Bachmann wrote extensively of her belief that the current governments of the United States and Minnesota State had plans to end the American "free market economy" and impose a centralized, state-controlled economy in its place

2003, Bachmann said that the "Tax Free Zones" economic initiatives of Republican Governor Tim Pawlenty were based on the Marxist principle of "from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.

On October 17, 2008, Bachmann, during an interview with Chris Mathews on MSNBC, called for an investigation of both houses of congress to identify Anti-American leftist members
I guess this is what the OP was posting about.

Yeah, because conservatives on here NEVER insult liberals like that

I don't have a scientific poll in front of me or anything, but while I'll be the first to admit that sometimes liberal commentary can veer in that direction, I think conservatives engage in far more common usage of this particular tactic.

And this makes some sense, when you think about it. Conservative commentators generally use "liberal" as a standalone insult, as if accusing someone of liberalism says it all. Liberal commentators never do this with conservatives, or if they do I haven't heard it. Attacking ideas is one thing, but attacking the ideology as a whole is something else...and something I think SOME conservatives do way more often.

I don't think any Democrat will ever top this.
