Warriors replace Arenas with....Claxton. =/

yea, i just read that one espn.com as well. too bad the warriors didn't match the alleged $65million offered by the wizards. i'm sure speedy will do fine though. more worried about arenas, in the past couple years the wizards franchise as been a graveyard for good/decent basketball players (ie larry hughs, jerry stackhouse).

The warriors Couldnt match the offer because they didnt have the cap space, and because Arenas was a second round pick, they didnt get any extra leeway they would have with a first rounder.

To free up enough money it would have meant the warriors would have to trade three people and take on no salary.

Claxton is strictly a backup guard. He is little and I doubt he will hold up for a full season starting, and if he does he will have limited effectiveness, especially against quick guard with size. I hope Washington is not planning on making him their starter long term.

umm....hmm...Claxton is the one going to GS, Arenas is going to either LA or Wash.....

as long as they score 100 points in the games i go to (bobblehead games and lakers game) then i'll be happy. everyone gets a chalupa coupon from taco bell when they score 100...haha
