A titan of business backing the Democrat? This can't be good for Jr Bush. He also endorsed Hillary!

His daughter recently stated that Buffet is concerned about the possible composition of the Supreme Court under a Republican.

And this recent quote: "I hear this Republican message that we're rich as hell and we're not going to take it anymore. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I'm paying taxes at a lower rate than my secretary."

Nope, Warren. See page A28 of today's Wall Street Journal.

From the same article:

<< Mr. Gore lags far behind Mr. Bush in support from chief executives at big industrial corporations, who appear to find him more threatening than they did Bill Clinton. A recent list of business backers of Mr. Gore doesn?t include a single Fortune 500 CEO, a situation his supporters attribute to his regulatory stances and environmental rhetoric. >>

Looks like Buffet has gone the way of Perot; he's become a nutcake. Must be the fumes from the ink in all the money.

One thing that great wealth can sometimes do is reveal the relative unimportance of money. It reminds me of the story of the miser that tried to buy off the Angle of Death. He was granted free time to write a last statement. "For my millions of Denars, I could not buy one extra second of time. Know man, the value of your time." There are principles that people can value above the self interest of their wallet.

Perhaps the rich aren't as persecuted as the Reps would like you to believe. Or perhaps the Buffets have realized that greed is not good.

<<Warren Buffet Endorses Gore>>

So does Jimmy Buffet.

With all those Buffets, maybe election day will be like an all you can eat dinner. :)

Warren Buffet for Gore vs. >500 leading economists supporting Gov. Bush. I'll vote for Gov. Bush.

Economists for Gov. Bush

Just in case someone does not actually read the link again and wants to mistakenly imply that these are a housewife again.

Was that the 45 or the 90 degree angle of death? Geometry nightmare? Heh. ;)

Sorry, Moonbeam -- I couldn't resist that one.

Add to the list of wealthy endorsers of Al Gore the CEO of Novell. There are many, many wealthy people and business leaders who are democrats and a good many republican business leaders are endorsing Al Gore as well out of fear that GW Shrub will botch the economy.

I can't link the source other than it was on moneyline on CNN today and the CEO of Novell was interviewed.
