Warranty for a used car

I just bought a used car and I would like to know if anyone has had a used vehicle put under warranty before, where it was done, and if you were happy with your coverage or not. I'm looking at one right now for 4 years/100,000 miles that's around $1400.

Best of my knowledge that has to get done at the time of purchase at a dealership where the finace managaer should of brought it to your attention. Unless you bought a Cadillac with the 4100 V8, no outside used warranty company will warrant that car or engine.

I havent heard of buying a used car off the market and buying a car warranty afterwards. Not saying ti cant be done, I just never came into it if it wasnt done at a dealership.

Humm... can you really buy the warranty afterward?
