Warranty??? and Arctic Cooling "NV silencer 5"

I know making any changes to a stock component will always void your warranty. But i was looking at my eVGA 6800GT and the stock heatsink on the card screws in place. So cant i easily just remove the stock heatsink and put this Arctic Cooling NV5 on it. If i run into a problem i will just put the stock heatsink back on and send to the company. Wont that work?????
 
It will work but some might question the morality of doing such. If you bork your 6800GT installing the NV5 don't return it be a man and buy a new one and learn from your expensive mistake.
