Warrant issued for William Shatner's arrest

I have to admit, when I heard that Shatner couldn't make the funeral due to a "previous engagement," I couldn't help but think of that movie.

I do not know if you guys saw this so I will post it. It had that SNL John and Gilda dancing on everyone's graves feel for me.

What would have been cool is if the charity he agreed to appear for said "You know what? We don't need you that bad. Go."

Yea, this man helped make you as you helped make him, some things are more important than a friggin charity appearance, it can always be re-scheduled for Christs sake, sorry Shat, I cannot forgive you for this nor will millions of other TOS fans.

Yeah. He was stuck at a charity event. That was a real rock and a hard place situation 🙁

Oh please. Nimoy would have wanted him to help the charity and keep his agreement.

It's apparently a more than $450 K event, since tickets start at $1,000.

But yes, it would have been nice if the charity had made an announcement about releasing him from his obligation, and maybe had him record a quick video for attendees. That would have been a win for everyone.

"I am currently in FL, as I agreed to appear at the Red Cross Ball tonight," Shatner tweeted Saturday. "Leonard's funeral is tomorrow. I can't make it back in time."

"I feel really awful," continued the actor, who played Captain Kirk on the classic sci-fi series. "Here I am doing charity work, and one of my dearest friends is being buried."
---

Last year more than 450 guests, including ambassadors from The Netherlands, Italy, Hungary and Georgia, joined forces to support of the American Red Cross. Proceeds from the 58th Annual International Red Cross Ball benefit the mission of the organization — to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Tickets to the 58th International Red Cross Ball start at $1,000.

None of the 1%'ers there wanted to lend him the use of their private jet?
