I would just like to give a heads up to any potential NuTech DVD RW owners. My experiences have been poor especially with DVD-R. I believe the chipset is based on a philips DVD+R set, so that explains why it is so poor, but still they advertise as DVD+-R, when really they should say DVD+R.

Didn't Anandtech give the NuTech burner the Editor's Choice in their DVD Burner roundup?

I go by actual users' reviews and comments...it is why I like my fav Benq DW800A,Liteon's drives and pretty much any Herries' modded NEC ..😀 as always..ymmv tho

Let me clarify, poor performance with DVD-R formats, it records +R just fine. I am just informing those that many have had problems with its DVD-R support. I have no grudge against the company just a product that doesn't hold up to its marketing.

I completely agree, as proven by reviewers raving about MSI products, which I have found to be of extremely poor quality. Anyway, reviews can be helpful, but I appreciate personal reviews much more.

I had a Lite-On and had major issues with the quality of the burns, commons skips and stuff. Bought a NEC and I love it, works wonderfully.
