Seems like the Overclockerz Store is back as a new company named Game Hardware.

DO NOT DEAL W/ THEM!
this is the overclockerz store masked. these guys have had a very deceptive past. they may be trying to start out fresh, or just make some more money off of a new name, but they have yet to give any formal apologies for the lies and delays (lied about free gift to customers who received packages late in August).

i looked at the layout and it's damn familiar to that of the overclockerz store. so i dug a little deeper.
check out the support address- fastathlon@uswest.net (that's Ryan's from the Overclockerz Store). This is definately that POS company from before!!
here's the whole scoop on the piece of sh!t overclockerz store:
The Overclockerz Store is suck!
The Overclockerz Store?
WARNING OVERCLOCKERZ STORE...DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

ResellerRating:
Resllerrating of 0! The owner had to stoop so low as posting a good rating for them!

BEWARE OF THE OVERCLOCKERZ STORE! A.K.A. GAME HARDWARE!

there's the heads up fellas

Argh, you would have to post this a day after I ordered from them! :p Oh well, as long as I get my order, it won't be a big deal.

Back when they were only Northwind Computers, I bought a Cache kit from. I didn't see how I could install it, so I called them asking how to do it. The whole installation required some trace cutting, and soldering. I did not know soldering was involved as it say hot glue is okay. Well, hot glue wouldn't cut it, so I used Super Glue. It would get to counting memory, then hang up. SO I sent back the processor overnight on their recommendation, and they told me my processor was dead.

After taht whole deal yo, they told me I had to buy a new processor. At the time 550s were still expensive...about $200, I bought one and had them put a cache kit on there. Well when it came one of the wires was loose, so I sent it back again via overnight

Finally they sent it back, but it would not do better than 700...fine I guess...until it stopped working. I called the "R" guy, and he told me that he would send me a 550 hard modded to 800. I never had to send that one back.

They always sent everything to me overnight, but I asked them to and they charged my credit card. Well anyways, I would say these people are very nice folk, just I think they were overwhelmed by how many people ordered from them. RyanP is a member here, he's a nice guy and I wouldn't think any less of him. He did so much for me...and NO I don't work for these people!

yeah ryan p used to work at northwind and he started his own store. When he was at northwind he was the technical guy , and well my athlon 1000 wouldn't work at the voltage it was hard modded for and he sent me a new one. Real fast and worked well. I also sold him 20 geforce cards earlier when he started the overclockers store, and he paid very quick, it was all great. I think they just got overwhelmed and well they have so many bad reseller ratings, i could see why he'd change the name. Just like when a company like mag innovision sucks ass, they change their name to princeton graphics, and also sylvania. Makes sense

I'm glad some of you have had good experience with them. I've seen other posts saying he was a good guy and stuff. I hope that I have a good experience with them as well.

edit: typos, argh! :|

i understand the whole bit about getting your self in over your head. my only problem is that they lied to me and did not apologize for doing so and also did not attempt to alleviate the problems their customers experienced through any means of communication or support.
had ryan ever contacted me w/ an apology i would have accepted it with a welcome and ended my 'crusade' to bring the past of the overclockerz store back into light. unfortunately, he has never done so. the last e-mail i received from the company was 3 weeks before my package arrive and it was from amanda 'Your package has been shipped'.
I received my package 3 weeks after that via fedex 2-day (it had not shipped, like they had told me it had).
plus the cpu i received did not post at the guaranteed voltage of 950 and was only stable at 850. this isn't due to the cooling in the system, because that same case now holds my duron980 from buy.com ;)
