Warning - newest version of Flash Player is buggy!

I just went through several days of troubleshooting my DSL connection, all because of a software bug that I discovered in the newest versions of flash player.

I listed to internet radio, and it kept cutting out for some reason. Thought my DSL connection was unstable. Changed my gigabit switch, my ethernet cable, a whole bunch of stuff. Anyways, I had to download this version of Flash player, to get things working again:
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp_11.5.502.136_archive.zip

So if you have trouble with streams cutting out, then try this version of flash player.

PS. I ended up with two plugins in Firefox when I installed this, I had to manually disable the newest one (11.7.700.169).

Edit: All archived versions of Flash Player:

This is why when some sites started requiring Flash 11, I installed Flash 11, but only on one browser, and kept a different player with a different version of Flash.

Interesting how this works. I was having issues with the last two or three versions (flash was crashing) but have had no issues with the one I am running now, 11.7.700.169.

same here, no problems with the latest version but Flash Player has been really buggy lately version after the other. It was never like this before

I am wondering if it would help to start listing drivers for threads like these, so we can figure out (part of) the cause of the problems. For example, my desktop and laptop both have Nvidia cards, my laptop is running 311's and the desktop is running 314's, and I have not seen the YouTube problems Albatross is reporting. With the older version, the Facebook games would crash if I left them running for any length of time (didn't seem to matter if I was actually playing them).

Newest flash would make 720p videos stutter on my laptop with Firefox. The stuttering would stop once YouTube finished the full download.

Installed the 10.3 version and it works perfect just like before. I think the newest version is crap. Adobe has a knowledgeable article how to downgrade to 10.3 probably because new version is causing problems for many people.

FYI op, if you look at the downgrade support article on adobe forums, they give you an official tool to completely remove flash. They suggest you use it before installing the older version. Probably why you have two versions installed in Firefox.

I've got the latest and haven't had any issues with YouTube or Grooveshark which is about the only thing I use Flash for.
