People, the only person who would sell you a Latitude C600 for $600 is selling a stolen or non-existant unit. He wants money orders because they are difficult if not impossible to stop.

Dameon -

Maybe you should inform E-bay of his practice. He'll be banned real quick. It is forbidden to email people soliciting goods.

I'm not sure on that, but if they do, I doubt it would cover a deal made from a solicitation like that e-mail above. I think any insurance would only cover auctions that properly ended.

<< Flee-bay does insure purchases that are over $200.00 don't they? >>

I think it's up to 200.00---anything more and you're screwed.

plus there's a $25 deductible and your are not guaranteed to be covered anyway. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. I've been burned before, so I wouldn't take any chances if I were you.

Inform [/b]Ebay[/b]. Contacting bidders like that to sell items is against their policy.

Also, I don't believe [/b]Ebay[/b] insures anything. They only provide the auction service. If you want a gaurantee, go through an escrow service.
