WARNING!!!! This buggy beta comes with no uninstall utility for Windows ME or XP. After I installed it, several of my progams are now broken (Media Player loads when executing unassociated programs). After the fact, I've read other, numberous problems with this BETA!!! This thing even comes with a warning during the install process that tells you this is hard to uninstall!!! The only way to get rid of it is to do a system restore (but for those like me, who shut that off, we're SOL!) YOU"VE BEEN WARNED!!!!

And since this is a beta, Micro$oft will not provide any support!!!

I have to do yet another clean install of Window$ XP. Thanks alot Micro$$$oft:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|

- Works fine for me 😉

Too late, already installed it🙂...first WMP I've liked since 6.4 actually...I'm keeping mine.

xenolith - worked perfectly fine for me. Didn't have any problems with any other software.

<<This buggy beta>> So you're finally learning what the word Beta means? LOL.

Shouldn't this belong in the software forum? Not General Hardware?

Exactly what "several of my progams are now broken " Programs are broken now that you have installed WMP 9?

Have you guy's downloaded the update for it yet? The player has worked flawlessly for me, it worked no differently than Media Player 7 dose.
