I just bought an Axim PDA - the X30 model. My original unit had a faulty voice recorder so they sent me a replacement after a 50 minute call to tech support. The Replacement was clearly marked as a refurbished model. This replacement unit had a functioning recorder but now a defective backup battery. Now I must wait for yet another replacement unit.

The point is that I wished I had read the warranty carefully and noted that they have the option of replacing with a refurbished unit. I bought a new item and now I end up with a refurbished unit. Thanks alot.

Also, I did not fully realize the problem until the refund opportunity was gone. Next time I would recommend to all of those out there is to not allow an exchange. Just get a refund if time allows and order another new one. Don't play the refurbished lottery. Pay attention to the refund deadlines. Good luck with your Dell purchases.

I've heard about problems like this. With laptops, it's often easier to just fix them, so that's what I'm assuming will happen.
I would'nt have bought the thing if it did'nt have a 750$ different....
