This is the core of an email I send to McAfee today:

<< Dear Mcafee,

I downloaded a tryout version of QuickClean:
?McAfee QuickClean
Wipes Away Internet Clutter...and More?

And more indeed:
I lost:
-the dictonairy tables of word, spellcheck was impossible.
-half the shortcuts on my desktop
-essential files in lots of games
-my mousedriver-file
-Himem.sys, needing to a reinstall.
-and several other essential files.

All in all it took my hours to get my PC running reasonably again. Just for interests sake: Does ?mot-essential files? mean anything above DOS?

I you use this application; do not clean up orphaned and redundant files because you define these file differently from the application.

I had a similar problem with a program called Nuts & Bolts. After the program was finished I rebooted and all my sh!t was gone. I had to replace files etc. I ended up just formatting. Never will use that peice of sh!t program again :).
