Mods,

I approached someone for advice on how to handle this, they suggested that I post the facts here for you two review. This trader EppyThatcher in the FS/T forum, it appears, regurally is offering items for sale and then not following thru on the transactions. It appears he might be doing a 'highest bidder' thing behind the scenes. Based on the posts in this thread, and the numerous PM's and emails I received after posting, this is not an isolated event but a pattern of (at a minimum) misleading trading. I was advised that since no money changed hands, it wouldn't be appropriate to leave negative heatware. I was also advised you should be aware of the situation and hopefully 'keep your eyes on it' for the future. I'm not sure there is much action you can take at this point without further proof, but do note that the person is no longer accepting private messages or displaying his profile (both in violation of the forum rules).

Please review the threads here:

Thread 1

and

Thread 2

Thank you,
Bill

I too ran into a problem with this guy where he sold (so to say) his monitor to me and then all of a sudden pulled out because he didnt want to ship it and wanted to use it to try and get a better laptop. I was going to pay him $260 in paypal for his KDS Rad 5, but then he decided that he wanted to see if he could get a better deal.

What really pissed me off was the fact that he was asking for $260 shipped for the monitor, but then he decided it wasn't what he wanted. I had the paypal ready to go and all.

Original Thread <---That's the thread where he was trying to sell the monitor.

I also have all my PM's saved from him if you would like to have a look at them click here.

At the risk of sounding redundant (but in a good way):

he also seems to me to be acting like a distributor (I will edit if this post is out of line) but he always has many laptops for sale or trade, saying things like I got this from a friend etc. just a flag in my mind that he may not be what he seems.
