Warm&YMMV - Trade-In Values for old XBox games when you Pre-Order Halo2 @ EB

YYMV on this, but at my local Electronics Boutique, I was able to trade in a few games that would normally trade in for about $4 each - but came to a trade-in value of $10 each because I applied them to the pre-order of the Halo2 Limited Edition. I slapped $5 cash down to add to the pre-order and whammo, more than half of my purchase is pre-ordered because I traded in some old titles that were gathering some dust.

This is good, but can you be more specific? Like is there a deal if you trade in a certain amount of games, you can get more trade in credit. This sounds like a good deal, but can you be more specific

The deal that was at this EB was supposed to be for trading in your copy of Halo for Halo2 (selling for $49.99 but trade in Halo and it comes to $39.99), but it looks like the sales clerk was just giving me the $10 trade-in credit for whatever games I was bringing in. Some of the games I brought in included Whacked! and Kung-Fu Chaos - titles that were just collecting dust on my shelf. I wouldn't ever trade in the original Halo as it's still a good stand-by for XBox LAN parties.

I'm not sure if this $10 trade-in is a local or regional thing, hence the YMMV. Check with your local EB and ask about any trade-in promotions for Halo2.
