hey today i went to Best Buy in Sacramento and i saw the Yamaha 20X cdrw
for 69.50 on clearance i think, but there like 20 and all

there also a $30 Rebate,
so final price comes down to $39.50

i picked up one yesterday, the sticker on front said the rebate ended back in Jan or Nov (two different stickers) but the rebate is good til 4/30/02.

Put it in my G3 and burned a disc at 20x with no problems. (40 minute VCD in 2 minutes)

The rebate you posted is for the CRW3200. That is Yamaha's 24x drive.

If you can get the 20x (CRW2200) for $40 is a pretty good deal. You can flash it with the newest firmware and get support for Audio Master and audio track editing. The same things found on the more expensive CRW3200.
