I'm sure these aren't the best quality but for $7.99 shipped for 2... seems like a good deal. I know I don't currently have any HDMI devices other than my laptop... but even so I ordered 2 to keep around in case a friend brings over PS3 and forgets wire, or want to watch a movie from the laptop... worth it for less than $8 shipped.

Probably lukewarm. Aside from the free shipping, the price is about the same as what outfits like Monoprice sells their HDMI cables for. A 6ft HDMI cable at Monoprice is about $3.30 right now. I'm not sure what they charge for shipping at the moment.

SeventySeven, your boss would probably crap his pants at how he got ripped off if he were to read reports on Monster Cable vs other generic cables.

I actually checked them.. was $5.99 for shipping on the couple I looked at... kind of why this deal caught my eye. I'd rather buy cables for $7.99 with free shipping, than buy cables for $4 with $3.99 shipping. It tricks me into thinking more of my money was spent on the actual item than on getting it to me. I do know they pad prices with shipping costs when shipping is free... but I try to ignore that. Either way, everyone beats me to the super sales, but this was a good price on something I needed and figured I'd throw it out there =)

As much as I like monoprice, having stuff shipped from overseas usually takes a while. If I can get the same product at a similar price but get it quicker, why wouldn't I pick that over monoprice?

Wow. Didn't realize the shipping was so high. Makes it a warm buy but I don't need any at the moment. I've got enough stuff I buy at cheap prices that I never used.

Still, if nothing is on sale, Monoprice's prices are still relatively cheap compared to the $20 USB cables and $50 HDMI cables at Best Buys or some other retail outfit. That's just highway robbery.
